Step by Step install NSX – Part 5
Creating the logical switches and Add the Virtual Machines to it
In previous POST shared the lab design for the NSX LAB, In this Post we will create and configure the below based on that design
- NSX Logical Switch
- Add the Virtual machines to the Logical switches.
Create Logical Switch
From the vSphere client select the Networking and Security from the menu and select the Logical Switches tab in the left panel, click ADD.
In the Wizard Write the Name of the switch and select (Unicast) as in our case we are using the NSX controller. And click Add.
Repeat the previous two steps to add all the required Logical Switches and the segment ID will be assigned automatically as created sequence.
Add the Virtual machines to the Logical switches
From the vSphere client select the Networking and Security, from the menu and select the Logical Switches tab in the left panel. Select the Logical Switch and from the Action list select Add VM.
Select the VM need to attach it and click the right arrow or double click the VM and click Next.
Select the VNIC that will connect it to the logical switch and click Next.
Review and click Finish.
