Step by Step install NSX – Part 1

First Import the NSX manager virtual appliance

Import NSX Manager in workstation for Lab environment

 

Double click on the NSX manager OVA file downloaded from VMware site

 
 

Accept the agreements and terms and click Next

 

 Specify the name and the location of the NSX manager virtual appliance and click next

 

 configure all the passwords for the admin CLI and the privileged access and click next

 

Configure the IP configuration for the NSX Manager and click next

 Configure the DNS server and domain name and click import

 

 

Import NSX Manager in VSphere for production environment

 

From the vcenter server select the cluster or the host and select the action menu and select the Deploy OVF Template 

 

Choose the NSX manager appliance click next

 

 Write the appliance name and select the folder and click next

 

 select the host and click next

 

check the version details and click next

 

Accept the licenses agreement and click next

 select the storage and click next

 

 Select the Distributed switch for the management cluster and click next

 configure the device configuration from the password

 IP configuration

 

 DNS / NTP configuration

 

Review the configuration and click finish

 

Finally, you will reach the NSX Manager console
