Create Mapping and Profiles in VRA 8

Mapping

The mapping here is to identify the machine sizing and the image will be used. To define the CPU and RAM in the flavor mapping. and to identify the image (the template with the os disk) using the image mapping.

Flavor mapping

After Login to the VRA console, select cloud Assembly > select Infrastructure Tab > under Configuration select Flavor Mappings. Click + New flavor mapping.

Write the flavor name like small, medium large. And select the Account.

Specify the values for the Cores and the RAMs. Click Create.

Image mapping

Login to the VRA console, select cloud Assembly > select Infrastructure Tab > under Configuration select Image mappings. Click + New Image Mapping.

After typing the name and selecting the region. We will select the image template and add it. Click create.

Profiles

Network Profiles

It Defines a group of setting for the network configuration to be used and imported automatically in the blueprints.

Login to the VRA console, select cloud Assembly > select Infrastructure Tab > under Configuration select Network Profiles. Click + New Network Profile.

In Summary Tab select the cloud account and write the Name also you can configure tag.

Select the Networks tab click + ADD NETWORK.

Select the Network and click OK.

Select Network Policies Tab. Select Create an on-demand network.

Configure the ip subnet and the available IPs. And click Create.

Storage Profile

After Login to the VRA console, select cloud Assembly > select Infrastructure Tab > under Configuration select Storage Profiles. Click + New Storage Profile.

Select the cloud account.

Define the name and the storage policy.

Select the provisioning type. In my case is thin.

Add the tags. In my case Gold and click Create.
